I would like to congratulate all those who have already survived part 1, but I am asking you to impart some wisdom to me. I was wondering where I could find old tests to study because y school is very limited on their selection. I was reading the thread were everyone was posting their scores and giving advice and wanted to know how to get hold of old tests. Does anyone know where I could find them? thanks!

Same question as mine.

You can purchase them from the ASDA, but it is rather expensive. Try to find an upperclassman who has them and either purchase them from the student or photocopy them. I have some official test booklets and most are photcopies. Below is a link to purchase them, about 175 dollars.

Thanks, DcS. Moreover, do you know where I can buy the Dental Deck? I think it also includes many refresh cards that you can study them at any place. I really have no idea about the preparation materials.

As far as the decks, you can purchase them at www.dentaldecks.com. The 2004s are out and are 200 bucks, i've seen them and they are identical to the 2001s (which i used this year and got >90). If you are interested, I will be selling my board materials, which is the following: 2001 Dental Decks, every released exam from the 70s till now, a mint condition Kaplan review book that cannot be bought w/out taking the course, and also the 2004 pilot test from this year (which had at least 20 questions i saw again on my boards). If you are interested PM me. Didn't mean for the posts to be an ad but u seem to be looking for everything i have.

2004 decks are in fact different from 2001, though not by too much (<10%) on some sections (Microbiology) and virtually nothing on others (Dental Anatomy). Is it worth paying more for? I know only of 2 who used 2004 over 2001 and they got a 97.5 averae between them.... how much of that was due to the decks was probably minimal, though. (I hacked a 95 with 2001.)
Old exams are best bought from someone who already took it and did well (a la DcS)...cheap, reliable,...unlike much of dental school. 🙂
