NBDE Part I Application, Requirements

Hello,
My name is Lavanya and I am very thrilled to find this forum. I am planning to give NBDE Part 1 towards the end of september and I have just started looking at the application process. From what I gather, it is not as straight-forward as click, pay and go. You got to get a letter from a dean of an accredited school here in the US. Is this true? Can someone please tell me the process you followed to register for the Computer Based Test.

hey thats not true if your just writing the exam.That requirement is only for students who are in college at present.If you are an international grad..and I guess by your name that you r probably from India,all you need is to get your transcripts evaluated by ECE,have them send a report directly to ADA,and you apply for the exam meantime.

I have not graduated yet, I am currently doing my internship. So, does this mean I need to get a letter? Where can I find more documentation on what is required? Also, is there any preferred evaluator WES, ECE..or someone else? Also, how long do they take to evaluate?

you can check your specific requirements at the ece and ada websites.As far as I know,they prefer the ece evaluation report for the exam.I will have another friend who applied while as an intern,give me his opinion.Infact if you can Pm "prady" ,a member of this site,he could tell you what to do.

hi Lavanya,
I had given d part1 exam as an intern.U r required to fill a form provided by ADA duly signed by ur Dean stating dat u hav studied d subjects dat u ll b appearing for in d part1. this form is not provided by d ADA unless u especially ask for it.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to know if anyone has actually gotten Evaluations done from both ECE and WES. Is there a difference in the GPA ?
I am taking my Part 1 in AUG and was gonna send out the Application for Course by Course Evaluation and was wondering whch one to send it to ???
