Hello all my fellow US trained Optoms wanting to go home to Canada / Ontario.
On Jan 18th, the NBEO 1/2/3 was accepted as the OEBC equivalent ! Massive news for Canadians who went to school in the states.
There’s only ONE issue, It only applies to those who passed the NBEO after JAN 18th 2019! Aka anyone who already passed It does NOT get grandfathered in! Pretty uncool right??
I started a petition hoping to gain support that will one day allow retroactivity or those who have already passed NBEO (class of 2019 and under) to be able to practice in Canada under this new policy!!
It would mean so much for your support in this matter, here’s the link If your feeling like a boss today and wanna sign this 🙂
