I was planning on taking step 2ck in late august. I had a low 230s on step 1 and was trying to do better than that for my step 2ck. I took a NBME offline and did not do well at all. NBME 1 I got around 82% correct, and NBME 3 I got around the same percent correct, with the first block getting 74% which is horrible for this particular form. On the remaining blocks it was as follows:, 84, 82, 84. From what I have been hearing from everyones post around 80 correct on NBME 3 is a 206, which is only 3 points passing above the new passing mark. Even on NBME 1, 82% is around a 225-227.
My first pass UWORLD was 70% timed, random. I thought with a 70% on UWORLD, I could atleast get a 235 +on a NBME. I dont know what to do. I started going through kaplan qbank to dilute my knowledge of UWORLD a bit. I restarted UWORLD with a 2nd pass with 89% so far with 35% remaining. I also just added DIT, but I am not sure how much that is going to help me.. I really dont know what to do or how else to prepare. On my 2nd pass of UWORLD for step 1, it was 79%, and I felt much more confident of my knowledge base. But this time for Step 2 uworld, even though I am doing better, I dont feel as confident and my NBMES are showing me that I am not ready. Any advice is appreciated.....
