A 26 yr old man with Hodgkin dz comes to the physician to receive his second cycle of combination chemotherapy. Ten days after receiving his first cycle, he had a fever and leukocyte count of 800/mm3. He recovered after appropriate treatment. Which of the following is the most appropriate pharmacotherapy to add to this pt's second cycle of chemotherapy?

A. Erythropoietin
B. Filgrastim
C. Interleukin-7
D. IL-11
E. Thrombopoietin

I choose B. Filgrastim... what do you guys think?

That is correct. G-CSF to increase his WBC count so he wont be susceptible to opportunistic infections.
