You do not get any answers or explanations. You just receive a 'profile' saying which areas are strengths and weaknesses (weaker performance in anatomy, stronger in pharmacology etc.). It also gives you a 'guestimate' score which most people find to be pretty accurate. I felt that the retired NBME questions were nothing like Step 1 when I took it two years ago. Step 1 has evolved so much in recent years.
