Step I NBME Practice Test Score vs. Step I Score -- Please post

Hi,

Several threads have hinted at this, but would you please post both your score(s) on the NBME *timed* practice exam(s) and the actual Step I?

There was one individual who got 1SD over the mean on both (600 vs. 241) and there have been several other reports of similar occurrences.

I just wanted to start a thread for those who have completed both and how they compared. This might be useful and (if nothing else) interesting for all of us.

Unfortunately I won't receive my step 1 score for a few weeks, but I scored about the same on both NBME assessment exams as the person you speak of, and I feel like I did pretty well on the real thing.

Personally, I highly recommend using the assessment exams to gauge how ready you are for the step1 and what your weaknesses are.

Yea, I hope so too. I got a 700/710 on the 2 practice [timed] exams, and I really hope they correlate to the real thing somewhat. The caliber of questions were clearly of a higher quality than QBank, though the intensity/depth of the questions seemed to be consistent.

I haven't taken the real thing yet but will post when I do.
