NBME Score Vs. Step 3 Pass

hi guys,

How good is the NBME score correlation with step3 pass. Of course, i understand that CCS definitely plays a role but in general, what in your experience is a safe score that cabn place us above 80% on step3?

i saw a post on a different forum from ccsworkshop.com claiming that some of their students with even 300 on NBME have passed this exam. Do you guys think its possible to pass it if I scored 300 2 weeks prior to the exam just in case if i did my ccs well?

iave read online that people have passed from 280 to around 340 as long as the ccs was well..
according to the other forums i have read. i know person a couple people who got around 330 and passed so it depends.

Hey all,

I took the NBME practice test 2 days before Step 3.

I scored a 480 (just lower than average), was expecting a 200-220 range score, but got a 239/99 on the real thing. I don't know how well the NBME thing correllates.

I got a 450 on NBME and 193 on the real thing.

well that should tell u it doesnt correlate at all for step 3. since someone can get a 450 and a 193 then someone else a 480 and and get a 239, and i know my friend who got a 350 and got a 193 also. 😕
