nbme vs. uwsa.....very confused??? plz help

i took nbme form 3 a week and half ago and got 216, then i took uwsa 1 a week ago and got 235. today i took nbme form 1 and got 214.

i dont get how there's a 20 point difference between nbme and uwsa. which do you think is more accurate?

i felt really good about nbme 1 while taking the test and thought i aced it...but i was shocked to get a 430/216. on the performance bar, most of my bars were at or above the average, which according to them is 500/230. so y did they give me such a low score???? im really confused cuz i dont know where i actually stand.....

can someone please shed some light?

nbme underpredicted my Step 1 score by 11 points (but so did uwsa)....im not sure if its doing the same this time

I havent taken form 1 so I can't speak to that, but form 3 I feel definitely underpredicts. My roommate just took 3 yesterday and he like me, experienced a 20 point drop from UWSA. I mean it's possible UWSA overpredicts, but I feel my knowledge base is much more than what NBME told me. I'm going to take form 4 this weekend to be sure.

TBH though, I did hear that form 1 does a good job giving high scores so I don't know what happened there man.

i heard form 4 is the hardest of all....so im really scared about talking it. i feel my score will drop 20 points from what it is now.....to like 194 lol. i heard form 2 is the best in exactly predicting actual score. im hoping to save the best for the last....

I think people mean it "feels" like the hardest,, but it isn't scored that way. I felt mauled by the UWSA but my score was right where I was hoping it would be

I just took NBME 4- 530/237. I took UWSA 4 weeks ago (with a 1 week vacation) as a diagnostic and got a 239. So, what does that mean? Have I gotten stupider? I'll be happy if I can get those scores. I'd like a 240, but a 239 will do.

id say you are in the 216-220 range. Keep studying though, and then take NBME 4. I thought nbme 3 was the toughest. NBME 4 and 2 are the easiest.

NBME Form 1 underpredicted my score by 4 pts. YMMV!
