NBME ? What really is this?

This may sound very stupid, but I am really confused with this NBME and how is it related to USMLE?
Can anybody help me...I saw NBME 1,2,3 forms...what are these..I am confused...need help😕

the NBME stands for the National Board of Medical Examiners. this is the organization that writes the USMLE and oversees its administration, scoring, and reporting. As a service to medical students preparing for the USMLE, the NBME has published 4 practice tests of 200 questions each (NBME's 1, 2 , 3, 4) that are available for purchase online. it is a common understanding that the score's attained on these practice tests are a strong (NOT perfect) predictor of your performance on the real exam. afterall, the questions are written and distributed by the same people.
