Is it fact that NBS adds to most stable radical, while HBr adds to anti-markovnikov, plain and simple? Real confused about this.

For example C=C-C-C-C

Would NBS add Bromine to the 3rd carbon, while HBr would add Bromine to the first carbon?

Yes. HBr is an anti-Markovnikov addition to a radical while NBS is a Markivnikov addition.

NBS will do the same thing as Br2 in light. Only HB with RooR will add antimarkovnikov. Any other hydrogen halide with ROOR will add markovnikov.

thought Br2 with light was anti-markovnikov. Isn't it the one with the radicals?
