The Awakenings Center ( www.awakeningscenter.org )is hiring for full time clinicians (PsyD, PhD, LMFT, LCSW) to join our team at our newest location in Durham/Chapel Hill, NC!
We are currently working remotely via tele-health with hope/goal of in-person services resuming in early to late Spring.
We are looking for motivated, engaged, and growth-minded therapists and counselors to be part of our group and provide individual therapy as well as couples and sex therapy. We welcome candidates of every race, religion, gender, and sexual orientation. We will provide training in couples and sex therapy for the right candidate, should that therapeutic approach not yet be part of your experience or repertoire. Awakenings approaches therapeutic work from an attachment theory lens and utilizes Emotionally Focused Therapy to help bridge the gaps between partners and understand the relational disconnects that create distress in individuals. Training in EFT is encouraged and provided to all staff and frames the supervision and group discussions and lecture. We work to help find or provide needed supervision for the right candidates who require clinical hours to obtain licensure and advocate for and support them in that process.
The center provides administrative support and generates referrals for staff, allowing you to focus on your time with clients, growing your clinical skills, and improving your work in the room. Our beautifully furnished offices are in a safe area where a supportive environment ensures you can learn, fail, grow and strengthen your clinical skills in both individual supervision as well as weekly group consultations with a professional, collaborative team. We cross-refer to maximize our strengths, work collaboratively with other therapists and physicians, and reach out to educate our community about how to strengthen their relationships.
We understand that growing a caseload is a building process and our competitive compensation based on experience includes a small base salary to stabilize your compensation during the building up of your patient load as well as an additional per session rate. Bonus structure in place and relocation assistance can be discussed.
