Hello. Are there any pharmacists from NC in here? I'm considering a move to NC possibly in or around the Charlotte area and was just curious what the job market looked like over there? I have plenty of experience in retail and currently I am pharmacy manager at an outpatient pharmacy in a hospital. I really don't want to work for retail if I move out there and much rather look for another hospital position such as just staff pharmacist. I don't have the clinical experience in hospitals but that doesn't mean I wouldn't take it if it was offered to me either.
I'm just trying to get a general idea of what to expect when I officially decide to start the job hunting process.

Thanks

It will be be tough unless you find a hospital director willing to give you a chance. Is your current pharmacy 'close door' or do you serve anyone with a script? You may have a better shot finding an outpatient pharmacy tied to a health system. Those usually are better than chain pharmacies in regards to staffing, hours, etc. I'd look there if I were you.

We serve mainly the outpatient discharges however we also fill hospital employees as well. Other than retail and hospitals, are there any other types of pharmacy careers/positions available in NC preferably near the Charolette then?
