I would love to hear from someone currently in the NCSU Masters of Physiology program. How are the courses? Any med school advising provided? Are you also able to take pre-reqs or is it primarily for those that completed their pre med reqs? Thank you!

Hey, I'm about to graduate from the program this fall. The courses are taught very well and many of them are courses taught in med school. You can do what you want with the program really, there are many different classes that are offered. Some of the classes are definitely easier and there are also med school level courses. I really had to change my study habits to do well in Phy 503/504. I took 15 credit hours every semester which is a lot more than what is recommended in the program but I stayed on top of everything and have managed to pull off a 4.0.

As for advising, you have to be proactive to seek out the program advisors and make connections with professors. However, I've found that the program director and my professors have been incredibly helpful in my journey and really care about my success.

You can take pre-reqs but they will not count towards the degree. You need to take 36 credit hours of graduate level courses to complete the degree.
