I did NBME 7 2 months ago (ie in April) and I got 200 on it. I'm having my exam in about a week. Seeing how people were saying form 7 is most representative of the actual exam (some say harder, some say easier), should I do it again and see where I stand? Or shall I stop worrying about score estimation?

While NBME 7 is the closest to the actual exam the other NBMEs are also really, really close. Doing NBME 6 would give you a very accurate estimate of your score, and doing the same test twice probably would not.

Whether you want to do another practice test or not is really up to you. Would you feel more relaxed if you had an estimated score? Do you have the option of postponing the test if it's not what you want it to be? Do you get test anxiety that another practice test would help overcome? These are questions that only you can answer.

Ive been told that NMBE 6 underestimates. But, it could just be me (these are in order Ive done them):

NBME 4 227 (start)
USWorld 1 250
USWorld 2 256
NBME 6 234
Today Free 150 (today) 91% Predicted 262

I am going to do NBME 7 Saturday (I'll let you know how that does). I initially freaked out about NBME 6. But, I was told it notoriously does that.

interesting point about 6 underestimating, but it seemed in line with my overall progression.. i mean who really knows, i'd just rather play the attitude that it doesnt otherwise i might assume I know more than I do 😛

thank you guys for your replies. While many people leave NBME 6 and 7 to the end. I did the opposite. I did them at the beginning of the studying. Right now I only have NBME1-5 to do. I feel that I will only have time to do 4 and 5. Hope they could do a better estimation on the score.

ok guys, this question might sound really stupid...but if I do form7 now and in a few month again, will the questions not be the same?

they will be the same..

NBME 5 is ok too.. u can do that one.. its supposedly 'easier' but the curve is tougher i guess.. i dunno.

Alternatively, I believe you can purchase one of UW's practice tests separately from the qbank, that might be something to consider too instead of repeating a test you already did (which is not going to tell you anything with any amount of accuracy).
