Hello
I have a question about neck and back pain that every dentist go through
How bad is it?
I had a car accident about a month and a half ago and I'm suffering from neck and back pain everyday after the accident.
My doc told me that it is only going to get worse since I have a disc on my neck and back from the accident.
Would the workload of dentist too much for my back and neck to handle?
It is hard for me to sit down for more than 1hr and 30 mins without standing up to stretch.
I know I will get better as time goes by, but just want your opinions
Should I even consider dentistry as a career?
I really want to be a dentist

Dentistry can be a physically demanding field and may exacerbate any injury you may have. You need to discuss this with your doctor. Listening to any advice given on SDN may be more harmful to you than helpful. Closing thread.
