Hi Katalio-I am going to PCO soon and need to book a hotel room for the night before. Did you already go for your interview? Do you have any recommendations of where to stay that will be a convenient commute to the campus in the morning?

hey; i went to pco in jan for an interview; basically i looked at the hotel list they provided but it ended up costing a lot and i wanted to stay in philly cause its more interesting of a place... elkins park is just north of philly and its right off the subway route; i stayed at the hyatt regency (4 star) at penns landing for 46 bucks a night (got it off priceline) and ended up taking the subway up there (it costs like 3.75 a way) .. it worked out great for me cause walking in philly feels pretty safe during the day and it was a really short walk to the subway... and once you get on it its like a 20-30 min subway ride to elkins park... and from there its about a 5 min walk to the campus.. the day i went it was actually pouring rain so i took a cab to the first subway and then walked in elkins park; it really wasnt too bad.. if you want to see any part of philly i would reccomend doing that; i know a girl who i interviewed with stayed just north of elkins park and she said there was nothing at all to do around there... the subway comes pretty often and was super easy to use.. and then after your interview you can get dinner in philly (there are some really great restaurants ) and you arent stuck in the middle of nowhere. its actually really easy to get on the subway from the airport too; so you could basically do that the whole time and be fine 🙂

as for neco... i would just call them; they are super friendly there 🙂 just ask whats going on; but i think they still consider themselves pretty early in the application process... if you have any other questions let me know 🙂
thanks 🙂

Great advice, thanks Nikki. I just saved $150 bucks going to Priceline VS. calling the Hyatt to reserve a room!

Hiya, I'm going to PCO for interview on Feb 17th, so I'm pretty nervous. I managed to book flight+hotel for 2 nights for around 300 CDN. Since we can't use Priceline, we have to use expedia.ca

NECO wont' tell me anything! LOL>. .they only tell me they are early in their application process like you guys said! HAHA....
they wouldn't tell me what I lacked , what I havea etc etc! ><!!!

Katalio, for you and other ppl booking flights for their interviews. I noticed that websites like Expedia and travelocity often give you the exact same price as the airlines website plus they add $5 service charge. So before booking, check airlines website, you might save $5. Its not much, but for students, $5 is $5 😉

when i went.... i flew a red eye flight and got to philly at 5am. cleaned up and changed my clothes at the airport then headed to the school. after the interview i went back to the airport and flew home. it wasn't too bad, but less the hassle of staying overnight. see you on the 17th... that is, if i decide to go to class. =P
