I was just wondering what everyone is putting for DO YOU PLAN TO APPLY TO OTHER OPTOMETRIC INSTITUTIONS?
Why would they even ask that anyways? does it matter? and if you put YES does it hurt your chances of getting in???

WHy doesn't optometry have a uniform application service like everyone else?!?!

Dr. Aurora Denial from NECO came to visit my school's pre-optometry club this week. Someone asked her that same question and she said that it shouldn't really affect your application. It's just for them to know. She, one of the 10 or so people on the admissions council, said that it doesn't look any better or worse. I don't know why they ask for that either. As far as I know and she knows, there is no way for a school to verify whether or not you have applied to any other schools.
I personally wouldn't worry about it, your grades and application are much more important to them.

yea i wish the optometry process was similar to the dental and pharm where there's a central place whre you submit one application.
