Hi guys ! I will be attending NECO in the Fall and am looking for fellow classmates 🙂 Does anyone know if there is a facebook group?

Hey there! Congrats! I will be attending NECO in the Fall of 2014 (I had to defer enrollment for a year, it's a long story). I haven't seen any facebook groups for the class of 2017. I was just curious, what did you think of the email we received concerning potential collaboration between NECO and MCPHS?

I just recently read an article that stated that they will not be joining forces anymore. In my opinion, this seems like a really good thing. What do other people think??

I think that is for the best, personally. I visited both schools, and thought they both had very good programs, but as a future student of one of them, I am don't exactly feel up for anything too experimental in the middle of my academic career (such as a change in location, etc.) The email I received about it was very vague, so I am honestly not sure what could have been expected, for better or for worse.

Also, optomstudent, there now seems to be a NECO 2017 faceboook group titled: "New England College of Optometry Class of 2017."

Hi just curious as I am interested in deferring a year at NECO as well if I get accepted this fall. What is the procedure for deferring? Does it change your chance of getting accepted?
