Hey all--
I going out to Boston on Thursday and was wondering if anyone who has already interviewed there could share their experiences/impressions of the interview day! Thanks
Good luck with your interview! I was just there this past weekend and they made it super stress-free so just relax and practice with the questions posted on the interview forum.
I arrived the day before the interview so I took the time to figure out how to ride the T subway from the airport(which turned out to be relatively easy and cheap, so use it!). You get off at the Hynes stop, which is on the corner of Newbury street. If you have time, I would walk down there a bit, there are lots of shops and places to eat. From there it's only a couple of blocks to the school.
On the actual interview day, I would get there a bit earlier than 8:45. I was there at 8:30 and there were at almost 10 people there already! (my group was huge, we had 20....a friend of mine had about 10 in her group) Breakfast was nice, we had some yogurt/granola and bagels. We had an intro with Dr.Farra and then our group was split into two. One group had their interviews first and then the second group stayed in the conference room to listen to some presentations (financial aid, curriculum, etc) Then we switched and afterwards had lunch, tour, and then they told us if we were missing anything from our file. I had the presentations first, then got interviewed by a student, then a faculty member(some people had faculty then student). Since I had my presentations first, I wasn't nervous at all during my interviews and I felt it went really well (and I guess it really did cuz I got my letter yesterday!)
Some people say the school seems cramped, but I loved it, it had a cozy feel to it. And the people there were so nice. They had a bunch of students some talk to us and give us the tour and they all seemed really happy about going there. My student interviewer said that their board pass rates have been going up, last yr it was 82% and this yr was 88%.
I guess I had a really good impression of the school and Boston (it was snowing the day of my interview), but to each his own of course =D
