[FONT=굴림][FONT=굴림]Hi! To introduce myself a but, I am a bachelor degree holder (specializing Life Science) from University of British Columbia..

[FONT=굴림]I have been very interested in studying in Podiatric Medicine in your college..

[FONT=굴림]If you could, please give me detailed informaiton about 'my chances'?.

[FONT=굴림]My DAT score is 18 (TS 20, AA18, QR16 RC16 BIO 20 OR 20 GC 20) .
My TS(total science avg is about 92 percentaile..)

[FONT=굴림]However, I did MCAT once but I got 18.... which is very low... so I am planning to.
[FONT=굴림]retake it soon. .

[FONT=굴림]Currently, my cumulative GPA from UBC is low which is .[FONT=굴림]2.5 due to very low grades from 1st and 2nd, and 3rd.[FONT=굴림] year. However, my GPA from 4rd and 5th and 6th year are good!.

[FONT=굴림]In my 6th year, I was even listed in Dean's Honor list for high GPA in 4th year!.
[FONT=굴림](means 6th year ave is over 80 percent).

[FONT=굴림]I have over 1300 hours of volunteer.. so.. yah.. please give me some ture advise...

If I do Special Master Program at Barry University (Biomedical Science), and get over 3.7, would I have a chance to get in?

[FONT=굴림]Thank you! .

[FONT=굴림]Thank you very much!.

[FONT=굴림]and Have a good day!.

I think that by looking at post-bacc programs, that is a step in the right direction. Most schools will automatically screen out GPAs <2.7 from what I understand. MCAT is low too. I have a 19 and am seriously handicapped to only 1-2 schools. Your 18 can at least get you an interview with those 1-2 schools, as long as you did not get <5 in verbal. Your plan of attack...

1. Get into a Post-bacc and do REally well (GET GPA >2.8)
2. retake mcat and get >20
3. You are in somewhere!

Thank you for your advice!
However, for my post-bacc, do you think Barry is worth to try?

Not really sure. I would ask in the SDN postbacc forum specifically for Barry's program. I think the post bacc is okay. Dosen't really matter, just retake upper level science classes at a post bacc or a tradition school and apply next year. Try to get a mcat >20. You should be able to get intlo barry....i think. If no Barry, just go to the nearest State school or CC and retake classes like histoloy, Anatomy/physiology, Biochem, cell/molecular biology, etc... These try to take science classes that will be similar to year 1-2 science classes if you can find them.
