Hey guys,

I recently took a kaplan practice test. Here are my scores:

pat: 18
bio: 20
gchem: 20
ochem: 17
rc: 18
qr: 16

I'm really aiming for about 20s. =/ I'm planning on taking the test on 18th right before school starts. Do you guys think that if I study my ass off these next 10 days I'll be able to pull it off? I haven't really reviewed ochem and math as much, so I need to get on top of that.

Also do you think it will make a difference if i extend it another week?

thanks a lot for your help guys!!

it'll definitely be ezier if you can extend it for a week and study ALOT, but i dunno its all self preference. i would suggest taking more full length practice tests other than kaplan so you can gauge yourself with the people on SDN

im takin the test the same date

goodluck

thanks a lot for your help guys... maybe if I take acheiver or topscore practice tests... I would get a feel for how I am going to do.

yeah i've been hearing about that. I also forgot to mention that time is a bit of an issue for me... especially on the PAT. idk i'm starting to freak out just a lil bit.

well time is a factor for mostly everyone, but for the PAT time is usually okay for me

i used CDP to practice, but achiever's PAT i think is even harder (on most sections anyways)

are you having problems on RC and QR? cuz thats usually where people have time problems on (including me lol)

but PAT in my opinion, all practice and get used to the right mindset

Math more than RC, but for the PAT i get stuck on the TFE questions and it completely ruins my section, i hate it. =[

I also need to get used to math... I got the math destroyer, hopefully that will help.

is CDP a must for the PAT section? I've been using kaplan and cliffs for all my DAT material =/

CDP is one of the best PAT materials out there, alot of ppl use it but i wouldnt call it necessary. But it IS ezier than the achiever TFE.

again its just practice, for CDP i started out with a 19 first time and increased little by little to 24-25 for my final practice PAT tests, but achiever still mauled me lol

oh mind me asking, what strategy do you use for RC, thats my weakest section

to tell you the truth, I go ahead and read topic sentences and try not to spend more than 3-4 min skimming the passage. Once i know the structure of the passage, I go ahead and go through the questions and go back and forth to the passage. I think the most important part is to know the structure of the passage.

btw what can i do to help me for TFE, its reallly killing me =/
