I would like to know what are the consequences of replacing two schools on my list by another 2. UF and Arizona by UCLA and UCSF or Harvard. Is it a bad move? should I add only the california schools and keep the other two? I really do not want to make such a move and raise eyebrows. But I am waiting on my DAT score to make this decision. I want to be competitive for CA since I am from CT. I have the GPA and all other things but it is the DAT that is the decision maker. Please any input would be appreciated.

Did you already submit your application? I don't think you can remove schools off your list, only add schools, after you submit.

Agreed.

Well then what about withdrawing it? I know it is stupid to withdraw before anything happened and especially that I

Well then what about withdrawing it? I know it is stupid to withdraw before anything happened and especially that I already paid for the application, but I really do not want to attend these schools anymore and I am drawn to California at this time for tons of reasons but the reason I didnt add them in the first place is because I am an out of state student. Does that mean I have to stick with my school list and forget about California schools? I am in miami now and I hate it. wether and all that. I like Miami but hate Ft. Lauderdale and Gainsville. The same applies to Arizona. Please help me with my dilemma. Thanks for replies guys.

If you have NO intentions whatsoever of going to those schools, just call the schools and tell them you do not wish to be considered for the upcoming dental class. Why waste your time with them when you won't go to their school? There's nothing wrong with withdrawing your application (many applicants do this). Calling the school would be the proper thing to do, rather than ignoring them completely. As for adding schools to your list, there is nothing wrong with that either. 🙂 🙂

However, just remember that even though you do not have any intentions in going to these schools, they can always be a good backup in case things changed. I would suggest you to keep them and even if you got an interview, you get a chance to visit the school and know more about their program. Never minimize your options!
