Need advice about USMLE and ERAS

I was told, by a program, that the director would only accept USMLE scores. I am a D.O. and have only taken COMLEX 1 and 2. I have decided to take step 1 by October 13 and according to the USMLE offices, I will not recieve a score until 3-4 weeks later which is after the dean's letter goes out and many programs make their decisions. Now, do I a.) post that I will take the test on ERAS in hopes that some programs will wait (and what if I do not do well?) or b.) wait for my results then post them on ERAS? Any advice?
