It seems like everyone on here is getting amazing scores on their DAT like 24's or even better.
My score breakdown:
AA: 23
TS: 22
PAT: 21
QR: 21
RC: 26
GC: 24
OC: 22
BIO: 21

After seeing a lot of posts on here, it seems as though a 23 isn't as competitive as I originally thought. At first, after getting my score I got extremely motivated to apply to other dental schools other than Louisville's dental school which I currently have guaranteed entrance to. Is it worth it for me to try to apply to a school like UCSF or would I just be wasting my money and should just stick to Louisville? My GPA is a 3.85 and BCP is roughly 3.7. (I'm only about to be a junior so all this might get lower) I'm also not very involved at my school if that has any influence as well.

I was because of my guaranteed entrance. I only needed national average. But now I got excited about the idea to go elsewhere because I kind of want to get away from louisville since I'm from here and go to school here too.

And thanks. I'm just psyching myself out after seeing everyone else's scores on here.
With a 20+ AA and TS, you don't really have to worry. With a good GPA and a good interview you'll get in. If SDN represented the average, it would be around a 23 for AA and TS. The actual national average is like a 17...

Dude you are fine and I think you'll get into your top choice(s). You do realize that majority of the folks that don't do well on their DAT don't put stuff up on SDN. No offense to them and no harsh feelings to anyone. Also, SDN is a small group compared to others out there. Some don't even use SDN and use Kaplan or other stuff. I'm just saying because I know from experience that not many people look into it in detail. Anyways, I think you'll be fine man and you'll be in good hands.
