Hello I am an older 46 psychiatrist from Argentina that moved to California one year ago and I need to take the Step 1 and step 2 this year. I have no medical school friends to tell me which books to study and so I think I should probably try to do the Kaplan or some other more structured course. Does anyone have suggestions on which of the prep courses are best or do I really need that. can I do it on my own with the correct books.

any help would be really appreciated.
