Earlier this month I applied EDP at WVU as an OOS student (PA resident). I went to WVU for undergrad, am spending my gap year in Morgantown, and was expecting to become a resident this time next year. I thought I had to wait for a year to establish residency but now I hear I don't have to since I'm not a student and I can become a resident at any time. So, assuming everything goes well with the DMV, should I update the school when I become a resident? West Virginia residents are highly favored in the admissions process, not to mention the lower tuition and the general proof to the committee that I'm dedicated to the state. Advice? I know it's too early to send update letters, but I feel like this is pretty significant. Thanks!
