Need advice on microbiology?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Try going over it in first aid and doing all the qbank questions for that section. If that doesn't seem to help the next review book is déjà review micro and immuno. It has a q&a format but is an easy read.

what's the best way for people to use study materials like sketchymicro/picmonic? I just can't seem to get how it works. Like you're memorizing more on top of what you're already required to memorize lol

Precisely why I'm not using either of those resources. Money saved.

Not quite. I guess that's a fair critique about picmonic from what I hear (never used it personally), but with sketchymicro there are videos about on avg about 5min long per bacteria in which he presents the material in a clear, uniform story with symbols that logically represent what you "are required to memorize." If you want to just stare at FirstAid for half an hour trying to memorize all of the common presentations/exotoxins/pertinent info for GAS, etc, be my guest. But sketchymicro presents it in a way that almost tricks you into memorizing it. Also if you use it right, you'll treat each image like a mini-memory palace type of thing -- make it even easier on yourself.

pew pew.
