Hey guys,
Just figured I'd post my situation and see if I can gain any insight on it. Here we go. So I first took the MCAT July 2009 very foolishly and immaturely and did not take preparation seriously, I received a 22 8P 6V 8B. I then entered an SMP after college managed to maintain good grades, happy with that I decided to give another crack at the MCAT. July 2011 I receive a shocking 9P 6V 8B for a 23. After completing the second year of the SMP which is comprised of taking 70% of a first year med school curriculum, I finished the program with High Pass and even Honoring a few courses. I told myself this was it, and that if I can handle first year med courses, I can certainly handle the MCAT. Wrong again, I took it this past summer with a 7P 6V 10B. While I am happy with the improvement in the biological sciences, I was absolutely shocked by the dip in my physical sciences score as I was doing much, much better than that in my practice exams. Any general advice would be appreciated. I personally know people in my program that have taken a 3rd, even a 4th stab at this exam, managed to overcome it and ultimately gain an acceptance. Just sucks that it seems I can handle the course load, but the entrance exam is something else. Also noticed that I was doing better on my practice exams, but come time for game day I can't seem to perform. I would appreciate if people would with hold negative comments, I have no problem with honesty and constructive criticism, but please be tasteful. Thank you.
