Hello everyone,
Currently a high school senior and deciding where I want to do my Pre-Med studies at. I know I'm cutting it close with the decision making process, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to post on here and get some advice from people who might have experience with these schools or with the pre med process in general.
So, the schools I am considering (and the benefits of attending them) are as follows (in no particular order). All are in NC.
1) Western Carolina University
-Honors College member
-Fairly good Bio program from what I've heard
-Decent cost of attendance (11k/Year before any loans)
2) Wingate University
-Nice Campus
-Good cost of attendance (around 12-13k)
3)Campbell University
-Early Acceptance Program for School of Osteopathic Medicine. Would only have to score a 497 on MCAT and a 3.2 Sci and Cumulative GPA to be instantly accepted into their med school. However I am able to apply to other schools.
- Cost of Attendance currently is about 19k a year.
4) East Carolina University
- Honors College member
- Good biology program
-Cost of Attendance: 16k before any loans
I'm not really sure which one would be the best option. Which college do you all think would be best with regards to entering medical school at the end of undergrad? The Campbell option is a nice guarantee, and Western is the cheapest. But like I said I'm just really lost as to which school might be better. Thank you all for any help and advice you can provide!
