Alright so quickly my resume

Mexican American
3.6 GPA
Computer Science
Graduating in Winter 2017

In short:
2 years (4 semesters and 2 summers) of physics research with an impending manuscript to be submitted. (Hopefully this is in press by the summer when I apply to medical schools).
8 months scribing. I actually do this at a location with a clinical RUE so hopefully that helps for that particular site. (~1000 hrs)
2 years (4 semesters) of teaching daily recitation sections in chemistry.

3 very good LORs related to research activity.

That ends any REU related activities.

So my main question is how to go about applying to these programs and what rhetoric I should be using in my essays. I will primarily be applying to clinical research programs because I already have plenty of bench research. Id love to see how research is done in the clinical space.

I am also concerned my GPA will keep me out of these programs. Any advice is appreciated.

I did an Amgen program last summer and I'd say about half the cohort had a GPA lower than you so I wouldn't be discouraged about that. Apply heavy to programs that aim to address URM participation in research. Familiarize yourself with the funding for all the programs, some are great deals and others barely offer a stipend. Content of essays will be very dependent on the questions themselves. Everything about your app looks pretty solid, just apply to as many as you can, they are a total crapshoot
