Has anyone taken a good Biochemistry class in the Bay Area?

I'm currently taking it at UVA, but I'm not having a great experience in this class (class size is too large, super competitive, and not satisfied with the style of teaching) so I'm thinking about taking withdrawing with a W on my transcript and finding a Biochem class in the Bay Area to take in Spring 2011 to make up for it.

1) Any suggestions on which school to take it at? SFSU? UCB Ext? ...
2) Any recommendations on which professors taught it the best?
3) And advice on where to avoid taking it/who to avoid learning it from?

I have an interest in learning the Biochem material well, so I just want the best learning experience possible!!!

I think UCB Ext is more reputable but the class probably costs a grand now. The class size may reach 40-50 so it's unlikely to be much of an improvement. I liked Prof Salisbury's style - I have no idea if she's still teaching it though.

Was the grading relatively fair? I'm trying to shoot for at least a B+, if not an A.

And right now, I'm finding it extremely difficult getting A's in the upper level bio courses here, especially since I'm a nontraditional student who just finished the post-bac program and I'm realizing that jumping into upper level bios has been difficult having only taken intro bio classes a while ago... Of course, with Biochem an "easy A" is not an option, but I'd like it to be do-able with the proper amount of effort and the right teacher!

Hmmm, well you if you really want it to look reputable you could take it at UC Berkeley over the summer, but it will cost $1,000 or so, and the class with be 99% kids from Cal who are all gunners. I don't know who teaches it over the summer though.
