I have a 3.70 GPA and a 3.68 science GPA with great ECs. But I just scored only a 21/O on my MCAT. This was way below my practice AAMC scores (ave 27)... I am going to retake on August 22nd. Are my chances hurt badly for entering an MD school for the following year? How about DO?

What should I do? I have no idea.

I strongly believe you still have a good chance as your GPA is solid and your EC is phenomenal as you have mentioned. 😀

You are going to retake the MCAT, just keep it under your control and do your best on it. I am sure you may have a reason that you did not score as well as you have been. Life happens.. too fast.

But you will be okay!!

Good luck!! 👍

You really don't have a shot at MD schools. And it's below average for every DO school in the nation. You really need to try to get it up.

I wouldn't worry about an August retake. You could get your primary verified now and make note of the fact that you are planning an August MCAT retake. Your primary will get verified and you can update your application with the new MCAT score when you get it. Stay positive and good luck!
