sooo i'm faced with reapplication. i'm still on 2 waitlists but as it is july i have lost hope. sooo its time to reapply. but idk if i should apply early without a job... or wait until i find a full time job for my year off or do it now with basically the same application that just got rejected... i applied after graduating from undergrad and during a post bacc program and most schools rejected me before i finished my post bacc. now that i've graduated from that as well... is this enough for a new application? i've already taken the mcat 3 times and finally got a 30 so i dont think risking a 4th time is worth it. but i dont have a plan yet for this potential year off. i've applied for jobs at hospitals and nursing homes but have been rejected from each one due to overeducation/inexperience/inability to committ for more than a year.

soo i guess ultimately, i dont knwo when to reapply. do i do it now? do i wait till i know i'm not in school and i can find a job?

thanks for your help!!!!

Someone in your situation would benefit applying as early as possible. The admissions committee isn't going to give you an acceptance just because you found a job to put on your application. I think completing your post-bacc program is an excellent addition to your application.

It's tough, but hang in there! Only those who have been through this process know how hard it is to get these kinds of positions for the aforementioned reasons, while adcoms sit there asking silly questions on why you weren't doing anything for so and so months.

Your MDapps profile states however, "i have been accepted to the masters of biomedical science program at tufts university and plan on attending and applying while in the program even though this is not recommended." If this is true, it would be unwise to apply before you complete the program. After all, consider this: do you want to have another failed cycle and have to go through it a 3rd time?? Make sure your application is the best it can possibly be before you insert another token.

actually my mdapps is completely innacurate. it was accurate about 15 months ago lol but i have since lost my password and tried to get rid of it but have been having problems resetting my password. i went to drexel instead of tufts and got a much better mcat score last summer.

Apply now.
The job you're going to have for a few months isn't going ot help that much, just need to show you are doing something.
You may need to tell a white lie to get a job...imply than you may stay 2-3 years and it may make it easier to get a job. If you can't find one, just get a job, any job, like Starbucks or something, and volunteer a lot in a hospital.

that actually seems like a good idea. volunteer and apply now. get a job later. thanks!!
