Hi all!
I just graduated in May with a BS in Health Sciences (clinical science and public health) from a large, private university in the northeast. Throughout my time as an undergrad I had initially planned to work in international public health (studied abroad - worked at WHO - lived in a developing country - volunteered with the red cross). Thus far, all my plans have been preparing me for international work or to go on and get my MPH. I applied and got accepted into one of the top MPH programs out of undergrad but then I ultimately decided not to go. I'm always asking myself questions about the medical side of what I'm dealing with, a current project at my current internship involves breast cancer in cambodia---but there's a learning curve because I don't know much, if anything about cancer. Thus, I decided I want to pursue medicine. Not only do I want to gain the medical knowledge, but the technical skills make me a more confident and engaged public health professional in the field. So now I'm at a crosspoint...
As far as requirements, I've taken biology 2 (A) and a few upper level bio classes, cell biology (B+) and genetics (B-). I've taken chemistry 1 (B) and chemistry 2 (A). I took organic chemistry 1 and got a C+. I've also taken Calc 1 (C+) and stats (A). My GPA as an undergard was about 3.5 when I graduated. As you can see... I've got a lot of work to catch up on to be able to apply to medical school so I'm asking your advice. Should I retake Calc and Orgo? Do I have a chance of being accepted to any US medical schools at this rate?

Thank you in advance. This is a great community to ask questions and learn about others experiences. 🙂

Retaking calc and orgo would be of little benefit, as the new grade would not replace the first one. To raise you GPA you should just continue taking classes
