Your MCAT shows your academic abilities exceed what your GPA shows. In your position I would either apply to DO schools or do a masters degree.Double major, Ivy league graduate (i know it doesnt matter), lots of research, clinical, leadership and volunteering experience. I applied this cycle in October and completed my secondaries December. I have not heard back from schools but I know the chances for interviews are very slim at this stage in the cycle.
What is my best option:
-enroll in a special masters program for the fall of 2018
-retake mcat in spring 2018
-both
-Just reapply earlier in 2018 with same academic scores but with more activities and better letters of recs?
All help is greatly appreciated! Thank you very much.
You do not need to retake the MCAT. Where is your state of residence and which schools did you apply to?
Apply to DO schools and you'll get to be a doctor. Your MCAT score isn't the problem, it's you < avg for MD schools GPAs.Double major, Ivy league graduate (i know it doesnt matter), lots of research, clinical, leadership and volunteering experience.
