Hello friend,

I was an engineering major 3.14 GPA, premed science GPA 3.45. My first MCAT score is a 26. Any chance I can get into MD school? I have a job and I volunteered at hospital before. I did a summer research and volunteered 30 hrs back in college.

Your chance to get into MD schools with your stats is quite slim. You could aim for DO schools and low-tier MD schools, but you need to improve your MCAT and GPA.

Premed science GPA is workable, but you need to bring that MCAT up to 30+.

Without any more knowledge about your ECs, a 26 is "circling the drain" of MD schools as @Goro often says.

It is getting late to apply this cycle and personally it sounds like you could benefit from a year of beefing up your ECs and retaking the MCAT.

cGPA not competitive
MCAT score too low.
30 hrs volunteering too low
You app would be DOA at both MD and DO schools.
