Hi everyone,

I am a dentist from India. My stats are part I 87, GPA 3.09 and 2 years of volunteer experience in USA. Last year I applied and got call from 2 schools. But, I was placed in waiting list at both schools.

To improve my application I am considering joining MPH or Master in BioInformatics. BioInformatics is research based master program, whereas MPH is coursework based program.

Since my final goal is to do DDS, I would like to know which program will be more helpful in getting admission to DDS? I will appreciate if you could suggest me whether both will have equal weightage, if not then which one will have higher weightage.

I THINK U SHOULD CONSIDER TAKING PART 2 TO IMPROVE UR CHANCES OF ADMISSION, THEN GOIN OFF TRACK AND DOIN MPH OR OTHER COURSES...👍

I totally agree with aligners..the fact that you got interview call itself says that your application and stats are good...and you were on waiting list so you just need to analyze and figure out how you can improve little more.....take part 2 that will best thing to do...work on your hand skills if you need to and try applying again...dont lose hope you are just near your goal!! 👍

and if u were waitlisted at schools like bu then u should just reapply n mention this in ur application, i heard they usually take the reapps pretty easily specially with ur stats which r not bad at all n ya try taking part 2...i have 87 too n i will never think of taking part 1 again, its a decent score......n i havent gotten the addmission yet too im taking part 2 in july though...goodluck.....n dont give up on urself or ur score both r grt👍

Will you be applying to MPH for the fall semester? And applying to d schools this year too? If so will you be able to finish the course?

Yes,I will be applying this year too for DDS and i will join either MPH or Bioinformatics from fall 09. By next year I will not complete this course....I want to join these courses to improve my chance..plz advise me.
