Those are very good DAT scores, Im actually in the same boat as you GPA wise (lower overall gpa though), do you have any advice for us who are taking the DAT soon? what materials did you use to study for the DAT?
First of all, I took Kaplan DAT course in October. The lecture itself wasn't that helpful. I think what they cover is so little compare to what we actually have to know. However, online sample tests were very helpful. I went over those questions over and over.
...Biology...
I started with the Kaplan blue book. i made my own notes and if i don't remember or have hard time memorizing, I made Q cards. then my friend lend me Cliffsnote. I added some more informations onto my notes.
...General Chem...
I only used the Kaplan blue book. i think it has all the materials that we need.
...Organic Chem...
I really had tough time with OC. When I took OC at university, I did pretty good. I really enjoyed it. but that was 2 years ago. I thought those will come back soon.. but it didn't. So, I started using Odyssey (by Dr. Romano) i think it has more than 500 Qs .. I went over all of them. Of course i don't remember every single thing.. but it helped me A LOT. but if you think you are good with OC, just DAT destroyer is fine.
...Quatitative Reasoning..
Just kaplan online questions.. I am more like a math person. QR was easy for me. Trignometry was tough. I think i got all wrong on Trig questions.
...PAT...
same with PAT, I used Kaplan online materials and that was it. I love solving these questions.. i didn't spend too much time on PAT.
...RC...
I didn't do that well.. i think 18 was 37 percentile. i'm very happy with that score. I use note taking strategy.
...Overall...
I forgot to mention that I used DAT Destroyer for bio, OC, and GC. For OC, I never had a question with a choice, "no reaction" or "non of the above" or " a or b" or "two of the above." things.. when I was doing DAT destroyer, I had tough time solving questions with these choices. (but i cannot guarantee for all tests)
hope I can be help to you.. and SDN has been a great help for me. everyone here is soo nice and informative.
good luck CSU
