So, I had planned to take MCAT on Aug 8 (in like just 2 days from today), and felt pretty confident doing section tests. Unfortunately, I just got freaking 492 on AAMC FL (scored). I just don't know if I will be able to do well or should I push a month back? I have been scoring 127+ on sectional tests on B/B and P/S sections. However, I Psych and CARS section completely drill me!

Also, would it be okay if I submit my primaries by July 20 and take MCAT on later August, if I push the date month back, for Osteopathic Applications? I would appreciate any input! Thanks!

Yup. Take the MCAT when you're ready to take it. August/September is still fairly early

This. Reschedule for at least a month out.

What do you feel is giving you the most trouble? Also, have you taken any other FLs? I was scheduled for the same date but pushed mine to Aug 22 because I did terrible on the section bank (particularly bio).

Thanks drkube

The biggest challenge is CARS section!! I haven't actually reviewed much of Psych/Soc and neither have practiced enough CARS passages (I take the blame). But what is really worrying me is that I am an international student and worried about how rescheduling the dates would affect my chances?

I got NS FLs and haven't taken any FL in one sitting, but have taken timed section tests, of which I was scoring better on CARS section (at least 123, as opposed to 121 on AAMC FL).

I can't tell you what effect rescheduling will have on your app but I can almost guarantee getting a poor MCAT score will be have a worse effect. I've had a lot of trouble on CARS as well but slowly I'm getting better. I don't have a lot of advice for this section except doing lots of practice. Try to read through threads where people are giving CARS tips and try out different techniques to see what sticks.

Unfortunately I can't seem to figure out how to cancel/reschedule the MCAT date as of now. Probably it's well beyond registration deadline. Thinking to rather take the test and void it. Not sure if there would be any available seats for Aug19/20 in NJ area!!! Fingers crossed!

That might not be a terrible idea if you can't reschedule. I just did a brief look at several sites in the NJ area and none were filled up yet for those dates. Just stay confident regardless of what is thrown at you. Good luck!
