Hi wildwest,

When do u plan to take ur bench exam? Have u registered for any coaching classes? (Duggans /UCLA)?I plan to take the exam in August and have registered for Duggans.Was wondering if anybody else was registered with them and was travelling from San Diego.

I am yet to register for the classes. Donno which one to choose... Duggans or UCLA. I'm also planning to take the exam in Aug.

Have U taken Part 2? Where are you planning to get your instruments for the Bench test?

Actually, I went thro'. this phase of confusion too (regarding Duggans/UCLA)...finally, I decided to go to Duggans as they have been in this "business" for about 10 years now...and I suppose
UCLA have started the course fairly recently.I also talked to a couple of people who have taken the course at Duggans who in turn knew people who had been to UCLA, they told me that undoubtedly the pass % of students from Duggans was higher.
So, kind of comfortable abt. my decision now.

Well, I plan to take my part 2 somewhere in the second week of May..I talked to somebody from the Calif. dental board y'day and they told me that they generally announce the filing periods 60 days before the testing date (so it should be around the 3rd week of June).....and the ADA take atleast 2 weeks to process the results..so I guess second week of May should be fine to play it safe...also giving a margin for delays in processing.

Are u done with all the formalities with the application forms?

Hi Sumram,

I am located in northeast. Am not from west coast. That's the reason I'm not sure that the Duggan's 3 months course will work for me.

I too am yet to take Part - 2. May be i'll take it by May end.

So, are you buying the instruments from Duggan's? Please let me know if you know of anyone selling their bench test instruments.
