I am having trouble getting a clear sense of differentiation between "renal hilum", "renal pedicle", and "renal sinus". This is my current understanding but I am not sure if I have it straight:
Renal hilum - the region of the kidney where the major vessels and pelvis enter
Renal pedicle - A term referring collectively to the group of vessels entering the hilum
Renal sinus - theoretical empty space that would be present if the major renal vessels and pelvis are removed
Is this correct?
