Good afternoon.
So I am a pre med I graduated in Jan 2016 and I have applied to md do schools with not much luck didnt get any interviews.

So during the two years after I graduated I retook physics 1 and 2 at a community college in hopes of using it for grade replacement but I was hit with difficulty because soon after aacomas announced that the grade replacement policy had been changed.

My Aacomas official sci gpa is 2.96 cum 3.15
AAMCAS sci gpa 3.01 and 3.26

I took the mcat once in 2016 score was 496 and then three times after that with a score of 495 495 496 in the hopes of getting above 500 for a chance at do schools.

I am a NJ resident South Asian (indian) low income applicant and I applied to md do and podiatry schools. I was accepted to two podiatry schools nycpm and temple with scholarships. I submitted a deposit for nycpm at this time ( at the request of my mother)

I am really unsure of what to do and I dont know if Ii would like podiatry as well as the jobs after residency. I am positing this comment on multiple forms to give myself the best and most responses possible.

I dont know if I should do an smp at njms or st george's either.

Any all responses would be appreciated.

If it were me, I’d take the sure thing of your podiatry acceptance. If you’re sure podiatry is not for you, I’d apply to a post-bacc with “guaranteed” DO acceptance; there’s no sense retaking the MCAT for the fourth time and grade replacement can only take you so much farther.

I'd run with the Podiatry acceptance. God father is a Podiatrist and it doesn't seem like a bad gig. That's just me.

With those stats, US schools are going to be extreme long shots, basically zero odds. Do NOT go carib. If you've struggled academically thus far, there is no evidence you won't in the Carib. Pod school is a good gig. Yes, it's a more limited career variety than med school, but it's still a solid route. If you want to be a doctor, take it and don't look back.
