Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this forum....and have finally decided to apply to med schools....took the Mcat a couple of yrs ago and did really bad...decided not to apply(long story)...but haven't been able to stop thinking about med school ever since so decided that I have to apply now.

I really don't know much about the Caribbean schools and am wondering which schools I can apply to with a low MCAT score?
Also, I read in one of the forums that in some schools if u have a low mcat you can go as an undergrad and after a semester you can be accepted to the MD program...Can someone verify this? if so, which school?

Also, are these the only 3 good schools that don't require the mcat:
St. James School of Medicine (Bonaire)
St. Mary's School of Medicine (St. Lucia)
Medical University of the Americas (Nevis)
I live in CA, so would need to be able to practice here.

I would really appreciate any info!

Thank you so much🙂

i cant tell u nothin unless u tell me ur GPA and MCAT score

OK I PM'd you

of the schools you listed none will let you practice in Cali

there are only four Caribbean schools that will do that:

SGU, AUC, ROSS and SABA

that said any school on St. Lucia I would stay away from it has a bad rep

MUA you listed is SABA's "sister school' But not approved for Cali

AUA I told you is decent but no Cali of course

there is also SMU (no Cali)

Go to the Cali board of med and look at the "List" of approved MD schools around the world and start there, there are a couple schools in Europe that are cheap and approved Charles is one I think.

Good Luck
