need help choosing classes, interesting vs. fun?

So, there's a class called Backcountry Medicine that sounds interesting. It's pretty much first aid in the woods, you get certified for wilderness first aid and CPR, side note: wouldn't know if it looks good for med school because I don't really consider that 'medicine'. I was hoping to get a few opinions on whether you guys would take THAT or Scuba diving...which my school also offers certification for (Open water). So yeah, fun vs. interesting. What would you other fellow pre-medians do?

Doesn't matter to schools. Really. You'll have to relearn all the medicine stuff anyway. Take what you want to.

I took a wilderness EMT course because I was a backpacking/wilderness survival/whitewater kayaking instructor. It's no different than a regular EMT course, except that you're trained to deal with situations in which you'd otherwise call 911 and provide palliative care. I've reduced dislocations, sutured open wounds, given epi and diphenhydramine for allergic reactions, and dealt with a host of other emergencies like hypothermia and injuries.

Don't take it unless you plan to be "in the woods," or you find it interesting. It's a great skill set, but not impressive to ADCOMs.
