need help for NBDE part1

Hi guys,I live in the U.S and recently pass the toefl exam.I'm going to take NBDE part 1 and I found a great information through your forum.as I see,dental decks and previous exams is enough to pass the test.I have 2 question and would be very happy if some one answer them

1:what is the best and cheapest way to buy the materials.is it better to buy used ones?

2:I read on a website that students can take the NBDE exam only after july each year.i didn't find this on the ada website.I thought if a student become ready,he/she would be able to apply for exam . what is the correct information regarding that

1) look for used ones on ebay or on amazon for texts/CDs. SDN has a classified forum too.
2) u can write NBDE anytime thruout the yr.
