I have very good DAT and decent GRE scores (at least a 20 in every DAT category & 680Q 560V [1240] and 4.0 A) my only problem is that my GPA is very very low. I has going through some personal problems and I failed almost every class in a semester and so I graduated with my GPA is in the low C range. It is not that I am stupid or anything I had almost a perfect GPA is high school and earned several nationally known scholarships (im not going to brag but one of them I was one out of 1000 kids to get it when 20,000 applied and look at my DAT scores 😛).
But what should I do?! Almost every program I look at (masters of biomedical sciences- so I can finish some of my prerequites ; i only did one semester of general, orgo, and physics cause I got a BA) doesnt even want to consider me despite my high DAT cause they say my GPA is too low. I was looking at some certificate programs BUT my scholarships; which by the grace of god I held onto will pay for my masters and part of dental but only if they are A DEGREE GRANTING PROGRAM.
There is only one school that actually accepted me so far and im waiting on one other; even so I think he just passed over my application because I had to call HIM to schedule an interview and he asked me if i had any questions and I questioned him on the program for like 15 minutes and he didnt ask me one DAMN question about myself even when I asked him if he had any questions to ask me 🙁 😡.
There is only one problem with the school that accepted me.... It is actually an amazing school and the director is willing to work with me on the prereqs and I will probably be ready for dental school in 14 to 18 months with that program but there is only ONE MAJOR PROBLEM with that school 🙁 😡
It IS IN a historically racially charged area of the country also a religious school on top of that (ie the boy and girl dorms are separate) AND I AM a nonwhite darkskinned minority. Needless to say I dont really want to go to school there, go missing, and get killed just because I flirt with some girl 😱 Knowing my personality, and the fact that im too cute haha
; once again not bragging just stating a fact, this scenario isnt too far fetched! 😛
So I am asking your help on this forum to help me forward my education and possibly save my life! LOL

P.S. Im thinking about applying to the Tufts masters of biomedical sciences program cause my GRE scores are above their average and they accept apps until July but what about my 2.4 overall undergraduate GPA (it looks even worse since my "official school" gpa is a 2.1 for the school I transferred into that I graduated from and they dont count past GPA into their official GPA)? Should I not even apply? I mean it is 70 bucks 🙁
If so what schools should I apply to so late into the summer? If worst meets worst maybe I will only go to that school in the middle of hell for one semester and then try to transfer out of dodge? Does anyone know masters of biomedicial science programs that take transfers?
