Okay I received the howard secondary way back in sept and I sent it back within 2 weeks of the date stamped on it (sept 25th).I sent it back with a $45 check. So lately I have been wondering where is that "green card" that I am suppose to be receiving to confirm that they received my stuff. Well being the smart gurl that I am I looked into my check book to see the check number I wrote them and then I called my bank to see if the check has been deposited. If it has that means they got my application. Well the bank said "no, my check hasn't been deposited". So after pondering for about 15 minutes, I decided to open my vault to school application (I keep a copy of what I sent out), so i pull out the howard letter just to read incase I missed something or I sent my stuff to the wrong address. Well Well Well.....was I surprised or was I surprised to see in bolded capital letters..."PERSONAL CHECKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED" (only money orders and certified checks!)
Well being the dummy that I am, I sent them a personal check because I thought all the schools take personal checks...I mean that's a safe conclusion...is it not?
So I called howard today but the lady I am suppose to speak to is not in. I emailed her anyway. Do you think they will allow me to send in a money order to replace the personal check? or will they tell me it's too late?I sent this in late sept (almost 4 months ago) What should I do.....without the money my application will not even be touched. AGHHHH <img src="confused.gif" border="0">
