Hello Everyoone !

This forum has so much important information..and that's the reason I chose to ask for help.
Let me explain my situation first.
i am a foreign pharmacist and I just took the FPGEE in june.
NOw as a back up plan I am taking PTCE in Sept. I have a green card.
Now my question is ..
1. as soon as I pass the PTCE will I be abl;e to work in any pharmacy as technitian?
2. What book should I refer for this exam..as in FPGEE I have studied everything in detail..would that reading help me here?
Thanks in advance..

Not necessarily. You still need to apply to the state board of pharmacy of whatever state you are living in to become registered, licensed, listed - whatever the lingo each state has for knowing who you are & what qualifications you say you've got.

This process usually involves fingerprinting and sending in money then waiting for the paperwork to be processed. It can take a few days, weeks or in the case of my state, CA - months....depending on how backed up things are.

Thank you for the insight. I'll check back with my state board of pharmacy.
