My application isn't as spectacular as those I've found posted on this site. I was hoping some of the informed amongst you would help me narrow down the list of programs I would qualify for.

My general standings:
PreClinicals: All Passes, No Honors or High Passes
Clinicals: 1/2 High Passes, 1/2 Passes, No Honors.
Step I: 210/82
Step II: Pending
Extra-Curriculars: I have a lot of hobbies both indoors and out.
Work: I work part-time in med-school.

Can you help me identify both "Target" and "Safety" Programs?

Thank you in advanced.

Apply broadly to all the places that you could see yourself at, not everyone who gets into anesthesiology has fabulous numbers etc. Youll get in somewhere. If you had a 180 on step one id say worry, but youll be ok.

Agree with above.

Take a call with an attending who you want a letter from.

Ask residents who would write you a worthwhile letter and git on it.
